- to point out: We're not in any way associated with the company but we do want to give you further possibilities to explore the history and the company by visiting the official website listed above!
Here we want to say that the company is one of those true symbols of the city. It is situated in the center of the old part of town below the Bistrik neighbourhood..and if you walk from the Church and Monastery of St. Ante to the Emperor's Mosque you won't miss it..the factory itself has a spacious... - is very simple yet so gratifying..it allows you to taste the sun captured in pure water. It wants you to enjoy your time with your friends, loved ones and those curious foreigners that somehow end up in your country. It wants to make you happy!
- Productes:
- Sarajevsko Pivo is sold in a variety of bottles and this is a brief overview of those eye-catching packages..
- 0,5 l bottle, also known as "klipa", is adored by the older crowd that usually has a crate stacked somewhere in the basement, balcony or even in the living room. Still it's mainly used in the construction sector to keep up the spirits of qualified and those not so qualified workers. Zivjeli!
- 0,33 l pear formed chubby looking bottle. This is the only true original! Locally, among those on the inside of this very cherrished world, it's also known as "bula" due to the form and the golden wrap around the cap and the neck of the bottle which reminds of the sight of older ladies that frequent celebrations and commemorations with any sort of islamic connotation..(in fact they are mostly looking for an excuse to dress-up and gossip with their peers).
Drinking this beer in summertime on the terraces of the Two Fisherman restaurant is highly recommended!
- 0,33 l Modern day bottle. It has a long neck and comes with normal, twist-off and pull-off caps. This pretty much depends on the seller and doesn't influence the beer in any way. This packaging was designed to claim presence in the modern going-out spots in the city where members of the "in-crowd" still prefer to be seen with a Hei(nehei)neken in their hand..
It's important not to forget that this is a disposable bottle - meaning no corner-store owner will ask you for an ID as a deposit. Always a plus point when you want to share a quick one with a loved one in the park!
- 0,5 l & 1 l & 2 l Q-pack plastic bottles are not worth mentioning here. If you don't mind wearing leather shoes on white socks..you don't mind drinking your beer like this. Got the point?!
- 0,33 l & 0,5 cans: Definitely don't come close to the geniuine product. Please avoid..unless you are somewhere barbecuing and the coal catches fire.
- 0,33 l Bottle Lowe Export Beer. A mystery in its own right. Still not sure why it's produced, who imports it and why it's not really giving you that bitter addictive taste of Sarajevsko. Not a favourite in the family, but a nice alternative.
- 0,5 l Sarajevsko Premium bottle. A beer for "guzonje" (fat-arses)..trying to force its way into the luxury part of the market, overpriced but with a nice design and a few extras such as the thermo label and a Wieselburger style cap.
You won't find it in ordinary bars..so if you really want to have it check out the local supermarkets or the pub/restaurant in the brewery itself.
- Draught Sarajevsko: Not as good as the bottle, often too watery due to greedy bar owners. Such offence should be declared as a crime and prohibited by law. And I mean old-school law not today's kindergarten stuff.
- Draught Sarajevsko Brown Ale: Worth a try but not the lady of the house. It can be heavy and a bit tasteless. Some claim it causes massive hangovers but that you must find out for yourself. It can be bought in a couple of bars around the city with the brewery restaurant being the safest bet.
