Just to inform you that the bus from Sutjeska (Second Gymnasium) leaves at 9:00 and the following one at 11:00.

Dont forget towels, sandals and some additional clothes because you will get wet :)

UPDATE July 30 2008!

We would like to inform you that the trip will go ahead as planned. Unfortunately we didn't manage to get any support from any stakeholder but it really doesn't matter this time around..

So we are going to gather in front of the Second Gymnasium - Sutjeska bus station from 8:00 till 8:45 and go to Nahorevo with the bus and from there we'll use our legs.

Everything you think you might need up there you need to bring yourselves. For those who are planning to spend the night up there (like us) there is some kind of hikers cottage house with 20 beds..or you can bring a tent and a sleeping bag. The night costs 14km for non members and 7km for members of some sport association. However we're confident that we can lower the price to 10km if there are enough people interested.

Phone number of the "Domacin" - that's the guy that runs the place is 061 268 793 if you'd like to call him earlier.

So we are looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday..There is no need to carry a barbecue as I guess there is one up there so be reasonable and bring something to drink (Sarajevsko beer) and something to eat. Some somuns might come in handy as well :)

Annnddd don't forget something that will allow you to go into the water (unless you're a nudist). We won't miss the opportunity to get inside of the waterfall.

Hello there fans of Sarajevsko Pivo!

As promised we are starting to organise the first ever get together of fans of Sarajevsko Pivo! while all other good people are invited as well.

Since there are quite a few of us, and we're sure we will be joined by people who are not using facebook, our idea is to use the opportunity to do something useful and also enjoy our time by tasting beer and barbecuing.

Our initial idea, which is certainly open to suggestions and flexible for improvements, is to go to Skakavac waterfall and do some cleaning in the area. It's perfectly safe and we will try to have some of the locals assist us as they know the place much better. Second part of our trip consists in going to Bukovik where we should camp for the night next to the hikers cottage house. There are always people up there who, we hope, will help to guide us and orientate us as it only makes sense to have this organised with the approval of locals.

Since we really hope to have this event well organised - Sarajevska Pivara will be directly contacted for any kind of sponsorship. Nevertheless, if they do not participate it won't hinder our enthusiasm. In the same way we will get in touch with the local municipiality, the ministry for the protection of the environment and the local tourist office. Once again, we are a proudly independent group of enthusiast without any links whatsoever to any organisation, company or political party (please leave all those associations at home)..So extending the invitation to them doesn't mean having them direct us, but follow us. After all we will start this camp alone with hope that it will grow into a tradition one day.

From this point on we expect everyone who has an idea to share it with us and to give their own suggestions and opinions.

To start off here are some possible events that we want to include in the camp:

Live music: of course it doesn't have to sound perfect but right there in that great nature, in front of a fire and with a cold bottle of Sarajevsko in your hand it will surely feel perfect. So anyone capable of helping in this aspect please let us know you exist!

Presentation of foreign beer!: Yes you read it..we love Sarajevsko but we are open to see other beers so please bring some if you have it and present the bottle and the story behind it!

Transportation: No we don't want you to drive up there, get a suntan and await us with your eyes half closed. The trip means a 2-3 hour walk from Nahorevo (very distant part of Sarajevo - and with a high altitude as well). But we could use a hand in getting the tents, food and refreshment up there, at least for the part of the way if not to the top. If someone is willing to assist with this again, let us know.

So this is the story for starters..please watch this space for regular updates and participate as much as you can! Post photos, write on the wall, invite people and spread the word! And also make sure to mark if you will participate or are still considering the possibility.

We need translations of the text written above! Of course the priority is to have it in Bosnian language but anything from Finish to Xhosa will be published.
