Heading for the beach?
Whether it's on Lake Balaton, the Sardinian (as in our photo) or the Baltic coast... the Frisian Islands, on Crete, or the Costa de la Luz ... chances are that you're on the safe side, at least as far as water quality is concerned.

96% of coastal beaches meet the EU's minimum standards, laid down in the EU's bathing water directive. And more and more meet even stricter target values.
