Shorbanu Khatun of Bangladesh stood out among the thousands of suited negotiators in Copenhagen. Khatun's husband was killed by a tiger when their land was parched by extended dry seasons and flooded with salt water, forcing him to venture into the jungle to feed his family.

La Jodie Barendsen Just heard about the "Old phones for chickens Christmas Appeal" on ABC radio. It's a great idea, I wish there had been more advertising for it though.

The ‘climate deal’ announced in Copenhagen today is a triumph of spin over substance, says international aid agency Oxfam.

L'Oxfam Australia Campaigns PM Rudd has arrived in Copenhagen, send him a strong message that you want to see Australia commit to at least 40% emission reduction targets.

L'Oxfam Australia Campaigns TAKE ACTION NOW: The Copenhagen climate change negotiations are teetering on the brink of collapse. Why? Because rich developed countries are refusing to sign up to binding greenhouse gas emission reduction targets that are consistent with what the science says we need. Demand that Australia immediately commit to a bin...ding emission reduction target of 40% by 2020 so catastrophic climate change can be avoided.

L'Oxfam Australia Campaigns This year the Walks Against Warming held all over Australia were huge! Sat 12th of December was also an international day of action on climate change taking place in the middle of the UN climate change talks. All over the world people added their signatures to walls and banners calling for a 'Real Deal' on climate change.
