In January, 1997, the Knesset (Israel’s Parliament) passed a law establishing the national institute which has been dedicated to improving the shape of Israeli society by ensuring the legacy of Yitzhak Ra...bin continues to impact the youth and people of Israel.
This January, the Center will open 'The Israeli Museum,' the first and only in Israel to explore the history and development of the modern state of Israel and Israeli society. Inseparable from the story of Israel is the life of Yitzhak Rabin.

מרכז יצחק רבין הוקם על פי חוק בשנת 1997, כדי להנציח את חייו ופועלו של יצחק רבין, וכדי להפיק את הלקחים מהרצח, מנסיבותיו ומהשלכותיו. המרכז משלב פעילות חינוכית חברתית, תיעוד והנצחה, ופועל בכל שדרות החברה הישראלית; בקרב יהודים וערבים, ותיקים ו...עולים, תושבי פריפריה ותושבי המרכז – כדי לשמר את זכרו של יצחק רבין ואת זיכרון הרצח, ולהטמיע את ערכי הדמוקרטיה.
במהלך חודש ינואר 2010 אנו עומדים לפתוח את המוזיאון הישראלי במרכז יצחק רבין. המוזיאון הוא יחיד מסוגו בישראל, החוקר את ההיסטוריה וההתפתחות של החברה והמדינה, שסיפורו של יצחק רבין שזור בתולדותיה וממחיש זאת באמצעים חזותיים וחוויתיים, תוך שימוש בחומרים ארכיוניים ובדימויים מכל תקופה.
