Kamel Shehata: You identify the problems correctly, but give a solution that would make things WORSE, not better. Capping politicians at 2 terms means the power shifts to the unelected, and unaccountable bureaucrats. Then you would be even MORE unhappy, as would I.
There are GOOD long-serving politicians, whether or not... you agree with their positions, they are good and honorable people. Russ Feingold of WI NEVER accepts a pay raise. Whatever the salary is when he gets elected, he keeps it through the entire term. If he gets re-elected, he accepts the new amount. His comment was "you hired me at a certain salary, that's the salary I get unless you rehire me." THAT is honorable. Unfortunately, there aren't that many Russ Feingold's in the Senate.
